Mariano Lake Community School - Library Services
The Mariano Lake Community School Library introduces students to new worlds, stories, and ideas. We are dedicated to improving literacy among all Bobcat students. Parents are encouraged to participate in literacy initiatives, such as book fairs, that promote intellectual curiosity, lifelong learning, and healthy reading habits. Book fairs also expose students to new interests and subjects.
The library is a quiet and orderly place reserved for reading, researching, and handling electronic media. Students expand their minds with each visit by engaging in new activities and reading materials. Our library environment is pleasant for everyone because students and teachers follow the rules whenever they visit. All visitors should bring necessary materials, such as books, laptops, pencils, and paper, before entering the library.
No food or drinks are allowed in the library to protect materials from damage, keeping the space free from spills and stains. Students and teachers share this space, and everyone is responsible for keeping it clean. Materials should be checked out with the school designee or returned to their proper place for the next user.
Loud noises, running, and horseplay are not tolerated in the library. Students must respect others who are reading or listening and should follow instructions. Leaving the library during class hours is not allowed without permission to ensure students remain focused and attentive. Generally, the library is for indoor voices and whispers only. All visitors must help keep the library safe, clean, and quiet.
