School Information

A group of people pose in front of a colorful parade float decorated with red, white, black, and blue balloons, with a cloudy sky and rural landscape in the background.

Mariano Lake Community School in Crownpoint, New Mexico, proudly represented the BIE at this year’s Navajo Nation Fair and Parade. Staff and students had a wonderful time showcasing their school spirit as they walked 4.5 miles, handing out candy and treats

The float entry — suggested by Principal Dr. Propst — made the day even more memorable for the students and staff who participated. The teamwork and collaboration needed to participate in the parade strengthen the Mariano Lake community each year.
